Tanzania: Finnish Premier arrives tonight
Finnish Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen is expected to arrive in the country tonight for a two-day visit starting on Wednesday.
Mr Katainen, who will be accompanied by
the country’s Minister for International Development, Pekka Haavisto and
25 business people from Finland, will be arriving from another official
visit to Ethiopia.
The Finnish Premier will officially be received by his host, President Jakaya Kikwete Wednesday morning.Prime Minister Katainen and President Kikwete will hold talks at the State House before attending discussions on cooperation between Europe and Africa organised by the Uongozi Institute at Hyatt Regency Kilimanjaro Hotel.
The two countries will also sign a General Budget Support contract and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in mineral and forest sectors and later attend a dinner banquet at the State House.
Prime Minister Katainen and his entourage will also travel to Zanzibar where he will meet Zanzibar President, Dr Ali Mohamed Shein.
He will also hold discussions with Economists, businessmen and officials from international organisations and visit the Dar es Salaam Port before departing on the night of January 30.
